Hapless computer technician Liam Rowe has never had much luck. So it comes as no surprise when he finds himself working the on-call shift at BioTech during the week of Christmas. But the tedium of his job comes to a screeching halt when he stumbles across a battered and bloodied old man in the desolate halls of the BioTech basement.
When Liam attempts to help, the man unexpectedly injects him with a mysterious substance and instructs him to take someone named DeeYana half way around the world. Before Liam can object, the man’s attackers appear to finish the job and Liam quickly finds himself the next target on their list.
